Premium Video Trailer. To watch the full video please upgrade and Go Premium.
There are no bad motorcycle tires today, only misunderstood tires. Buying a new set of tires is a crapshoot until you understand what a tire’s Profile, Carcass, and Geometry are doing to the handling of your motorcycle.
Dave….great content as usual!! Everyone wants something different when it comes to tires. The breakdown of the fundamental aspects of the tires and how it affects things like turn in, stability….etc. helps make more informed choices. I know I like a medium carcass with a fairly uniform profile. I don’t want tremendous amounts of feedback, but not muted either. I also want to have a fairly uniform push to lean relationship also. Listening to you explain things affirms what I thought I knew. Thanks again.
The way you put things makes so much sense it really does taking the confusion out of it. I need to make it to a even your at but considering im 6-7 hours north in southern oregon makes it challenging
Dave, thank you 🙂 This is something I was never looking for (focusing more on suspension setting), but explains different behaviour of my bike a season ago, which I did not like 🙂 Since my bike is already very nimble and light now I understand why I prefer less U-shaped tyres 🙂 Keep the good work!

Hey Dave. Should you always strive to match profile and carcass front and back and what would be the advantages or disadvantages? Thanks.
